ABOUT IKAMA

IKAMA, acronym for Ikatan Alumni Australia or Australian Alumni Association, is the national association for Indonesian graduates of Australian Educational Institutions. It is a non-profit body that aims to build and strengthen the network of the Australian graduates in Indonesia.

Established in 1963, by the first group of Indonesian who graduated from Australian universities under the Colombo Plan, IKAMA became a legal entity in April 1980. With strong support from its members and the Australian Embassy Jakarta, the IKAMA continues to expand, and now includes cooperation with Australian organizations and commercial companies both in Indonesia and Australia.


OBJECTIVE

As an alumni association, IKAMA has dedicated to serve its members through the following objectives:
  • To strengthen relationship and network amongst Australian alumni
  • To foster IKAMA members active participation in the nation’s development towards prosperity in general
  • To promote the Indonesia – Australia bilateral relationship


IKAMA FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS

IKAMA members, with their various backgrounds from private and public sectors, association, and organization, had significantly contributed to the expansion of IKAMA network. Over the years, IKAMA has established close links with a number of well-respected organizations including:

  • International Alumni Communication Forum (FOKAL) - British, Swiss, French, German, Dutch, Canada, Japan, American and New Zealand alumni association


In conducting various programs of activities, specifically the IKAMA Annual Dinner (IAD), the organization has been supported strongly by the following prestigious institutions and companies through their valuable sponsorship.
